Sailing between Cesme & Bodrum
This has never been one of the prime sailing areas in Turkey and its alwaus more modest attractions have bees seriously reduced by it no longer being possible easly to visit the neighbouring Greek islands of Lesvos, Chios, and Samos. Combined this made for one of the great cruising grounds of the Mediterranean. In current circumstances, it is better to focus on Greek Eastern Sporades. It has to be said that Ephesos (accessed from Kusadasi) is one of the great tourist sites of the world, but there are ferries daily from Samos as a less hassle alternative.

The inevitable stopping off point to visit Ephesus.

Turgutreis Marina
Description
Another luxury D-Marin establishment convenient for nearby Bodrum. When going in and out of Greece was easy, this was an attractive stopover. We prefer it to Bodrum, but as elsewhere in Turkey, prices are high in a country with many attractive, free, anchorages.

Gumusluk Quay
Description
Very few places on the town pier. If you can get one, grab it. Gumusluk is for the locals and is quite charming. Some of the waterside restaurants are among the prettiest we have seen anywhere in Turkey. Great ice cream 'dondurma) vendor as well.

Didim Marina
Description
Very upmarket complex designed as much with shore-based activities in mind as sea-based. Rather off the beaten track, some distance from town, and not really aimed at the private cruising yachtsman. We were however very kindly received when we visited for a couple of hours in 2017. No charge!

Mandalya Marina
Description
In the same general area as the large and luxurious Didim marina, this offers an interesting alternative.

Bodrum Milta Marina
Description
Hugely expensive on account of its location to the extent that we avoid it if we possibly can. It is however well run and offers extensive technical services.
